Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that you’ll have questions about the recruitment process, so we’ve tried to answer our most frequently asked ones. But if you need to know more, contact us in 0117 910 1900.

How do I find out what current vacancies you have?

The quickest way is to use our search facility on the latest vacancies page. Here, you can narrow your search by job sector, work type and date the position was posted. If you can’t find a suitable vacancy online, give us a call on 0117 910 1900 or register your CV and we’ll get in touch with you.

Do I have to register to search for vacancies?

No you don’t have to register to search our latest vacancies, but if you can’t find a suitable vacancy online, the best thing to do is either call us on 0117 910 1900 or register your CV and then we can help you with your search.

Is registration long and complicated?

It’s not complicated, but we like to be thorough so we will meet you in person to discuss your work or education experience to date, your key skills and your career objectives for the future. You will also have the opportunity to find out about us and how we work.

The registration meeting will take place at our offices in Bristol with one of our friendly specialist recruitment consultants and will last for approximately one hour. You may also be asked to take a typing test and/or IT tests at the same time.

Before you attend this meeting you should complete the registration form which will be sent to you by post or email and bring with you some essential documentation. We will let you know what you need to bring with you. When the interview is complete and we have all your relevant documentation, you will be registered on our candidate database.

What types of jobs and companies do you have on your database?

We have permanent, temporary, part-time and interim jobs within PA/Admin, Finance, Marketing and HR with progressive employers from across the South West. We select our clients as scrupulously as we select our candidates, so every post is a bona fide placement with a legitimate and decent employer.

Do I have to live in Bristol to be on your database?

No you don’t, but you do have to be willing to commute to the region. Most of our clients are based in Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley.

I’m returning to work after time out of the workplace – can you help?

Yes! We are always looking for quality candidates, so even if you have been away from the workplace for a while, we will be delighted to hear from you. Very often we find that job seekers come to us after caring for families or after sabbaticals for travel or further education with new skill sets and a renewed enthusiasm for work.

My CV isn’t great – can you help me update it?

Yes, there are some suggestions in our tips & tools section on this website.

After many years of working with various recruitment agencies providing both full and part-time staff I have generally experienced a low level of satisfaction. Since using Temple Quay Recruitment, this trend has reversed as we have recruited staff who are technically competent and very willing to assist. As a result, our business is rarely interrupted when temporary staff are appointed. I recommend the service of this agency. Project Management Client based in Bristol
